Alternatives for Industry, a new leader in industrial distribution, was founded in Sarasota, Florida in 1995. In just a few short years we have grown to become one of the most prominent and respected distributors in the state of Florida.

We have grown to two locations. Our headquarters in Sarasota, and a branch office in Palm Bay.
AFI was established to redefine the industrial distribution business, pronouncing itself not only a distributor, but a service provider as well. The president of AFI owned an industrial machine shop in Pittsburgh, Pa. for twenty-five years and has a complete understanding of what it is like to be a customer in this business, making it our number one priority to service the customer. Our customer relationships are created through the attention of our outside salesman and the support and knowledge of our inside sales people at our headquarters in Sarasota.
